WISE Lab

Undergraduate Research Assistant

Wireless Intelligent Sensor Electronics (WISE) Lab | Gainesville, FL

Jan 2026 - Present

  • In-vitro characterization: Conduct mannequin-based measurements to characterize EQS human body communication channels for ultra-low-power implanted pacemaker systems.
  • Hardware development: Build, solder, and test Tx/Rx hardware while analyzing signal attenuation and positioning effects.
  • Impact: Support a 100× lower-power alternative to RF communication.
Genomics Lab

Research Laboratory Intern

Center for DNA-Guided Medicine | Hartford, CT

Aug 2023 - Feb 2024

  • Wet lab: Conducted PCR, DNA extraction, DNA quantification, and SNP genotyping for patient genomics analysis.
  • Clinical impact: Contributed to patient-specific metabolic and allele profiling while gaining 80+ clinical hours.
  • Publication: Authored "Personalized Medicine: Mitigating Adverse Drug Reactions and Revolutionizing Healthcare."

Publications

Communicating insights for better care.

Personalized Medicine

Curieux Academic Journal - Personalized Medicine Article

Published 2024 | Author

  • Focus: Explored strategies to mitigate adverse drug reactions through genotype-informed care.
  • Methods: Synthesized literature on pharmacogenomics and metabolic reserve; connected SNP profiles to clinical decision pathways.
  • Outcome: Published "Personalized Medicine: Mitigating Adverse Drug Reactions and Revolutionizing Healthcare."
